Updates: Life, Love, and Patreon

Dear followers,

To say it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here is an understatement. It’s not for lack of want, but more for lack of energy and time to spare.

I’ve recently been in a bit of a low with my mental illnesses. I haven’t had restful sleep in a while due to nightmares. I’m even getting them when I take naps during the day. So my PTSD is triggering my depression by making me physically drained, and then that triggers my anxiety because I feel unable to keep up with any of my responsibilities. But I’m managing. I do think it’s starting to improve, and though I haven’t been able to see my therapist in a while I should be able to schedule an appointment soon and get back on track.

Now, that lull in my health has not meant a total lull in productivity. On the contrary, I started a You Tube channel, have been working on art, and have even had a few commissions to keep me busy. I finished the commissions earlier this week and was then inspired by a friend to start a page on Patreon! I went with a fun coffee theme and I’m pretty excited about it. I’d really appreciate it if you check out my page and support me in any way you can, be it financially or by sharing the link with your friends! If you do become a patron Coffee Bean, you’ll learn about Kopi Luwak! 😉

Another exciting thing I’ve done recently is get the Bumble app. I had heard that it’s better than Tinder, and with experience learned that it even allows for a BFF and professional setting. I kept it on the date setting figuring that I can make both friends and romantic connections that way. Well, I’ve connected with a few women who I am excited to build friendships with and one that I already went on a date with and…swoon. She is such a beautiful soul full of kindness and warmth and a love for animals. Definitely my cuppa tea. I’m really excited to see where this goes.

Thank you so much for your continuous support of my work. I appreciate all of you that take the time to check out what I’m doing on my small corner of the internet.

Love always,

Alyssa

P.S. I know I have yet to discuss my PTSD. I’m thinking of making a post on that soon. So stay tuned for my #MeToo story.
