Welcome to my media villa!
This is the home of all my muses and their creations. You’ll find a mix of mediums from prose and poetry to visual art.
At the heart of all my work is me: a Cuban-American feminist living with mental illness and trying to make a difference in the world.
My name is pronounced uh-lee-shuh (totes phonetically wrong, blame my mom) and my last name is med-ya-vee-ya (Spanish pronunciation).
I have two BA’s: one in English Lit. with Art and Creative Writing Minors and one in Psychology.
I worked as a Helpline Counselor for some time answering calls for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Veteran’s Crisis Line, and more.
