Aly Luna was born and raised in Miami, Florida to Cuban immigrant parents. This first and vital identity is one of many crossroads identifiers.

Not totally American, but also not Cuban enough, not totally straight as a pansexual, but not quite gay enough, and not totally disabled with mental illnesses, but not quite able enough.

These intersecting realities have formed her artistic perspective and approach, pushing her to find the beauty in the in between, in the journey, and in helping represent other misfits that just want to feel accepted in an often hostile world.

Her favorite quote is Joseph Campbell’s, “Follow your bliss.” She strives to live by these words, pursuing her passions daily and creating in every medium she can.
