Tattoos have been a major aspect of my life for a while, but only with me as a canvas. I absolutely love this form of artistic expression and how it allows people to adorn themselves with meaningful or aesthetic artwork.
Of course, as an artist myself I’ve wondered if the field would be a good fit for me, if I should pursue tattooing as a career. I am definitely interested, but with all my other pursuits (more on those soon) it’s not possible to land an apprenticeship. But that doesn’t mean I can’t expand my creative wheelhouse and learn about tattoo design.
Enter my portfolio! I gave myself some prompts to create artwork specifically with tattooing in mind. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did creating them.
