a call to colorful arms

we live in a sea of faces
each so different
yet many much the same

there are those who stand out
but are simultaneously hidden
as the dominant group claims their space

I am both different but 
very much the same
with my floral features
but white washed hues

and so I have a responsibility:
I must give visibility
to my colorful comrades
while not overpowering their voice

and in that same fashion
my blooming sisters and I
must be made known
by those huskier fellows

and they have a responsibility 
to take a step back
when this wave of rainbow flowers comes 
hand in hand ready to take a stand
