November Announcements

Happy November 1st!

To those of you that observe Día de los Muertos, I want to wish you amor para siempre! I didn’t grow up observing this holiday with my Cuban family, but I feel so connected to its meaning. While my family views death and passing as a time for solemn grief, I find myself wanting to reminisce on all my happy memories I have of my late loved ones. Día de los Muertos is a beautiful tradition and I hope those of you that observe it have a wonderful time sharing with your loved ones and putting out your ofrendas. I have made a drawing of Miguel and his pooch from Disney’s Coco in honor of Día de los Inocentes as my own ofrenda to my uncle who, while was an adult at his time of passing, had a childlike innocence throughout his life.

Inktober has finally come to a close! To everyone who participated, great work! And to everyone who followed my progress here or on Instagram, thank you so much for your support!

It’s a new month now and with that I am setting up for some new challenges! With the holidays just around the corner I see no better time than now to officially introduce my shop, Media Villa Designs, with all my offerings and prices.
